January 31, 2024 – PRIN Meeting (Namur International Relations Program)

At our recent meeting of the PRIN (Namur International Relations Program), chaired by Denis Mathen, Governor of the Province of Namur, we addressed a particularly full agenda, reflecting the ambition and diversity of our international activities. The PRIN, which brings together key institutional stakeholders such as the Economic Bureau, AWEX, the University of Namur, Gembloux Agro Bio Tech, and the International Relations Commission of the City of Namur, as well as our Consular Corps, emphasized the importance of strategic coordination of international initiatives.

Among the topics discussed were the cross-border Ardennes strategy, the upcoming visit to Namur of the Tunisian Minister of Tourism, the celebration of 45 years of twinning with Lafayette, preparations for the Belgian-Cameroonian socio-economic days, and the upcoming activities of the CCPN. These discussions demonstrate our ongoing commitment to strengthening international ties and promoting our province on the international stage.

The next key dates of the CCPN:

  • February 8: CCPN twinning - Consular Corps of Lille, Hauts-de-France Region.

  • March 14: Annual conference with UNamur and UCL.

  • June 2: The Economic Diplomacy Day.

These events are part of our desire to actively contribute to the international dynamics of Namur, in line with the orientations of the PRIN.
