WHO ARE WE
The association aims to unite honorary consuls with a view to developing commercial, economic, cultural and academic relations between the States they represent and the Province of Namur, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 24 April 1963, ratified by the Law of 17 July 1970 (MB 14 November 1970). It also aims to promote cordial relations between honorary consuls and to develop coordinated actions in order to enhance their activities.
We maintain twinning relationships with the Association of Honorary Consuls of Quebec (ACHQ) and the Consular Corps of Lille, Hauts-de-France region (CCLHDF). These collaborations illustrate our commitment to multilateralism and international cooperation.
Our mission is to strengthen ties between our consular jurisdictions and our sending countries, through a spirit of bilateral cooperation. However, in an increasingly globalized environment, multilateralism is becoming a powerful force, and our association strives to integrate this dynamic into all its initiatives.
We foster and promote relations with authorities and organizations of interest to honorary consuls, as well as between consuls themselves, through visits, hosting foreign personalities, and organizing events, training courses or conferences.
Our partnership approach with neighboring consular bodies encourages joint and coordinated work, thus strengthening our active and collaborative diplomacy.
We ensure that this collaboration opens new doors and creates new opportunities for everyone.
