On February 8, 2024, the Consular Corps of the Province of Namur held its Annual General Assembly at the Provincial Palace of Namur.

The event provided an opportunity to look back on the activities of the Corps in 2023 and to present its two major events for 2024:
📅 March 14, 2024 – Conference on Europe’s Strategic Challenges in 2024
📅 June 2, 2024 – The Economic Diplomacy Day
Following the assembly, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Consular Corps of Lille – Hauts-de-France Region, strengthening the partnership initiated in 2023 with the Association of Honorary Consuls of the Québec Region. This signature formalizes the creation of a tripartite cooperation framework between Namur, Lille, and Québec.
We were honored to welcome:
Bruno CAVACO, Dean of the Consular Corps of Lille
Tommy Byrne, President of the Québec Association of Honorary Consuls
And Governor Denis Mathen, who graciously hosted the event and whose longstanding support continues to shape the CCPN’s strategic direction.

📜 Extract from the Speech
"On August 24, 2023, the CCPN signed its first memorandum of understanding with Québec. That agreement laid the foundation for trusted, friendly, and effective collaboration.
Today, in a world increasingly global and interconnected, multilateralism is not just a concept – it’s a necessity.
That’s why I am proud to formalize this second partnership with the Consular Corps of Hauts-de-France.
This agreement reflects our shared values, our geographic and cultural proximity, and our ambition to deepen economic, academic, and cultural ties.
By connecting our three regions — Namur, Lille, and Québec — we create a powerful trilateral platform, strengthened by our common language and our commitment to promoting Francophonie on the international stage.
Together, we turn cooperation into momentum, and diplomacy into a network of opportunities."
