September 30, 2024 – 🎓 A Look Back at the Start of the Academic Year at the University of Namur 🎓

On September 30, the Consular Corps of the Province of Namur attended the opening of the academic year at the University of Namur , with Rector Annick Castiaux, PhD , leading the ceremony. Honorary Doctorates were awarded to four inspiring personalities:

• Zeina Abirached , author and illustrator

• Bouli Lanners, actor and director

• Father Pedro Opeka, founder of Akamasoa

• Bob Rugurika , Burundian journalist

These figures were honored for their commitment to justice, equality, and human rights. We salute the 𝑈𝑛𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑒́ 𝑑𝑒 𝑁𝑎𝑚𝑢𝑟 and Rector 𝐴𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑘 𝐶𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑢𝑥 for honoring these inspiring voices that give hope.
