January 24, 2023 – Commemoration of the 219th Anniversary of Haiti’s Independence

The Consular Corps of the Province of Namur participated at the invitation of HE Mr. Jesse Jean, Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti 🇭🇹, and in the presence of many Ambassadors including HE Mgr Franco Coppola, Apostolic Nuncio 🇻🇦 in the commemoration ceremony of the 219th anniversary of Haiti's independence, celebrating the memory of the slaves who fought for freedom.

This ceremony highlighted the importance of continuing to fight against all forms of oppression and injustice in our society. We must remember our past to build a more just future for all.
