December 12, 2023 – 50th Anniversary of the Independence of the Bahamas 🇧🇸

Celebrating 50 years of independence of the #Bahamas at the MIM, Musical Instrument Museum in Brussels.

HE Cheryl Bazard KC JP , Ambassador of the 🇧🇸 Bahamas 🇧🇸 to Belgium 🇧🇪 and the European Union 🇪🇺, opened the evening with a welcome speech. We then discovered #Junkanoo , the famous Bahamian festival, with its cowbells 🐄 and goatskin drums 🐐.

The Embassy donated several instruments 🪘 to the museum. It was also a good opportunity to introduce Jane Murphy to the Ambassador and the many Ambassadors present. 🇹🇬🇧🇷🇲🇨🇧🇧🇭🇹🇧🇼🇨🇷🇯🇴🇰🇬🇬🇩🇲🇳🇳🇮🇲🇿🇧🇩🇺🇸
