2025/02/06 - 📢 The Consular Corps at the Diplomatic Meetings at Egmont Palace

On February 6th, the Consular Corps of the Province of Namur took part in the Diplomatic Meetings organized by FEB, VOKA, AKT, and BECI at Egmont Palace 🏛️.

The Consular Corps was represented by its President, Magali Dugardin 🇨🇬, and its Academic Relations Officer, Frédéric Lernoux 🇲🇳.

This event brought together diplomats and Belgian business leaders to strengthen dialogue between the political and economic spheres 🌍.

In today’s international context marked by major challenges, the discussions highlighted the importance of economic diplomacy and support for Belgian companies abroad.

💬 René Branders, President of FEB and Honorary Consul of Hungary 🇭🇺, opened the meeting with a powerful speech on the importance of foreign trade for Belgium’s prosperity. Alongside Pieter Timmermans, CEO of FEB, he addressed the current challenges and opportunities for Belgian businesses.

During the evening, we had the chance to exchange with, among others, Hélène De Bock 🇸🇳, Patrick Herman, Erwin De Wandel 🇧🇫, William De Baets 🇭🇷, and Michael Wimmer 🇧🇮, demonstrating the diversity and strength of Belgium’s diplomatic network.
