September 14, 2024 – Fêtes de Wallonie 2024

On September 14, 2024, Namur celebrated the 𝗙𝗲̂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲, a key occasion to honor our culture and folklore. Saturday was of particular importance for the Consular Corps of the Province of Namur, marked by the presence of more than 70 ambassadors from around the world, testifying to the attractiveness of this international event. 🌍🎉

The day began with a speech by Mr. Maxime Prévot, Deputy Mayor of Namur, followed by the traditional Ambassadors' Luncheon, hosted at the Provincial Palace by the Governor of the Province of Namur, Mr. Denis Mathen. International delegations enthusiastically participate in this event every year, which combines local festivities with diplomatic exchanges.

As part of the festivities, the Consular Corps had the honor of presenting a check for €4,000 to the Société Royale Moncrabeau. This donation, made possible thanks to the profits from 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑐 𝐷𝑖𝑝𝑙𝑜𝑚𝑎𝑐𝑦 𝐷𝑎𝑦 2024, organized on June 2, supports the actions of this association which works for the preservation of Namur folklore and support for people in difficulty. 🤝
